The Adroit Prizes

The Adroit Prizes in Fiction and Verse are awarded annually to two students of secondary or undergraduate status (as of the current academic year; early graduation is acceptable) whose fiction or poetry ‘inspires the masses to believe beyond feeling the work.’ In other words, we strive to receive the absolute best work from emerging young writers of high school and college age in particular, and the best of the best will receive these two lovely awards.

We accept submissions in the regular pools throughout the entire year, but focus in the months of March, April and May on considering and accepting the works of young writers for the prizes. For more information regarding submission at this time, please see the submission manager, located at www.adroit.submittable.com. Pieces for consideration should be submitted normally, in the Poetry (Young Writers) or Fiction (Young Writers) categories.

Note: Depending on influx of submissions, we may also choose to award a prize for Creative Nonfiction for the upcoming 2013-2014 academic year.
